Here’s another high quality recording from FBG. Showcasing Prince's last show in Paris, this has everything a fan needs: None of the usual hits "played for the last time" or the well worn setlists of recent years. Just a stunning performance and great surprises, like the acoustic version of ‘Girl’ and the return of ‘Forever In My Life’. It’s full and energetic show that, looking at the setlist, plays closer to an aftershow than a regular main show.
The performance kicks off with great renditions of the new material from his latest body of work. A number of covers get an airing during the middle section with Shelby J. and Liv Warfield lending their vocals to the proceedings. As for the sound quality of the recording , this is very nearly making the EX grade. The only thing holding it back to EX- is the now infamous ‘screaming lady’, who gets very annoying in some parts, almost to the point of unbearable. Apart from that, it's a very enjoyable recording overall, with clear sound and vocals and solid , deep bass. Add to that Prince in fine form and in a great mood that lights up the audience and you can’t go far wrong .
